Blaydes Law is a small firm based in a historic home overlooking the beautiful Kanawha River in Charleston, West Virginia. Much like the practice of law, the pace there is deliberate, thorough and thoughtful.

Jeff Blaydes has carved a specific path in his decades-long career, seeking, above all, to represent people who need help, to get to know them and their cases thoroughly and to ensure their rights are upheld. That’s why he has chosen to operate his own practice, planting deep roots in the Charleston community, in his home state of West Virginia.

Jeff works closely with his legal assistant, Sheri Brandfass—who is often the first contact when calling into the firm.

Jeff grew up in Morgantown and returned to West Virginia University after earning an undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester, where he played baseball and basketball. He holds a Master of Arts degree in History from WVU and graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law.

When away from his law practice, Jeff has dedicated years of his life coaching an array of youth sports, including baseball and basketball. Jeff has coached at the high school and middle school levels as well as AAU basketball and travel baseball. Jeff has also been an invited speaker at local sports banquets and as a guest speaker and clinician at the Greg White Little Wizard and Advance Skills camps.

Jeff and his wife, Mary, have three children.
